As Commercial Director at Whittlebury Park, Marc’s primary role is to lead the organisation through the commercial landscape, identifying new market opportunities and to determine the optimal pricing to balance profit with client satisfaction.
Marc oversees several teams whose duties span a variety of departments within the organisation such as Sales, Revenue, Marketing, Brand & PR. Whittlebury Hall and Whittlebury Park were united at the end of 2016 and with this exciting merger now in place, there’s a huge amount of opportunities for the business of which Marc and the team of over 400 colleagues at Whittlebury are looking forward to sharing with guest in the coming months.
Having spent 30 years within the Hospitality, Travel and Hotel industries, Marc views his approach as a ‘Market Maker ‘ – somebody that works well with other Senior Executives to create, mould and communicate the goals and objectives of the business, and can articulate the strategy and measurable tactics to support.
Outside of his role at Whittlebury, Marc has been a local primary school governor for the past 7 years and is also a board director of a hospitality industry association.
A final fun fact to end with, Marc is a student at the Jado Kuin Do which is a martial art based on Karate, Kung Fu and Kick Boxing.
