Sharon Ghouila (MSc, FIEMA, FIFST)

Having gained Post Graduate qualifications from Cranfield and Aberystwyth University, Sharon has 25 years of international experience in ISO Certification and environmental and risk management. She is a Lead Auditor and Fellow member with the Institute of Environmental Management and Assessment. In recognition of her contribution in promoting sustainability, Sharon is currently being considered for her Chartered Environmentalist qualification.

She is also a Fellow with The Institute of Food Science and Technology, which was gained for her work around reducing food waste and promoting sustainability within the food and drink industry. 

Sharon is the founder of Green Steps Consulting. Her company focuses on helping SME’s to simplify their sustainability processes taking them from baby steps towards environmental improvement to measurable green steps driving their sustainable strategy.

 

Sharon is very excited to judge for the Green/Sustainability Awards because is an envoy for  South East Midlands Local Enterprise Partnership  (SEMLEP), where she is supporting the clean growth strategy.  Sharon is keen to see more sustainable buildings either retrofitted or through design. She is also keen to see applications from businesses that have developed innovative low carbon technologies. Sharon has deep ties within the NatWest Entrepreneurial Accelerator, NatWest Business Boost and Cranfield University through her work to inspire entrepreneurs to become green.
