SME MK & Bucks Business Awards launch for 2021
The 2021 SME MK & Buckinghamshire Business Awards have been launched and now the search is on to find the SMEs most worthy of an award in the region.
The awards, which are in their fifth year, formally launched in an online launch event on Wednesday 7th April.
The event saw members of the press, award sponsors, previous winners and those interested in entering all log on to find out more about the awards and what judges will be looking for.
The award sponsors – Oysta Technology, MK Business Centre, My Mustard, FM World, Milton Keynes Council, Queensbury Consulting, MKBBN and Thomas Connolly Estate Agents – and media partners MK Pulse and Business MK were all given an opportunity to speak to the ‘Zoom room’ about why they were supporting the awards and why local businesses should enter.
The awards are now open for entries with more than 20 categories to choose from. These include: Best Enterprising Business, Best New Business, Buckinghamshire Business of the Year, Business Innovation, Employer of the Year and Community Business of the Year. There are even two awards that have been created to recognise those who have successfully adapted during the pandemic – Business Chameleon and Lockdown Leader.
Damian Cummins, Awards Director at Events & PR, said: “It was wonderful to see everyone online at the launch of the 2021 SME MK & Buckinghamshire Business Awards.
“A massive thank you to our sponsors and media partners for not only attending the launch but also actively supporting the awards.
“The SME MK & Buckinghamshire Business Awards are all about recognising and rewarding the companies and people doing great things in the local business community. These efforts should be recognised at the best of times but are more important than ever right now.”
Anyone interested in entering the awards can do so for free online at www.buckinghamshireawards.co.uk until Thursday 27th May 2021 at 3pm.
The 2021 awards ceremony is due to take place on Thursday 9th September 2021 at the Jurys Inn, Milton Keynes.
Winners of some categories will automatically go through to the National SME Awards final at Wembley Stadium on Friday 3rd December.
